This is an animation key drawing I created using a Palomino 2B pencil. The bar at the bottom is the taped down pegs used to keep all the drawings registered from one scan to another.

How inspiring

Thanks so much for contributing this and your support of the Pencils.com project. You have such a nice smooth line to your work. I look forward to seeing your future posts and videos that will help teach our visitors how to develop thier own pencil animations. You inspire me to start brushing up on my own drawing some to experiment with animation myself.

Having the right artist tool

You're very welcome. I've been searching for many years for a pencil that will allow me to skim a dark line across the page without digging into the paper. I have a very light touch and do not like to press hard to create a dark line. The Palomino is perfect for me. I intend to post many more drawings on a regular basis. Some will have a clean line like Hank and Libya --- others will be very rough, with many lines -- I will show the process of how an animation pose goes through many different stages to get to the final drawing.
