Great value for custom imprint pencils. They are well constructed, with straight, smooth barrels, and fairly thick paint. They also have what seems to be a genuine Pink Pearl eraser, solidly attached with a nice ferrule. The graphite writes surprisingly well; dark, and smoother than brands of commodity pencils found in office supply and department stores. Not quite what I would consider a "true" HB or No. 2 grade. It's more like a No. 2 1/4; somewhere between an HB and and F. However, this is a plus because you can write and write and the point never seems to wear down, a trait typically found in graphite grades that have a faint rather than dark line. The mascot icon tends to be rather large, so keep that in mind if you are only having one line of text printed. If only it were available in premium incense cedar...sigh.

Not all batches the same quality

This review is for my second order of custom imprint pencils. The first order (see previous review) was pretty good quality overall. They are black pencils and have really nice erasers that work very well.

This second order was for royal blue pencils. The erasers on these are smaller, harder, and smudge the graphite a lot while erasing. Not sure if it's just the blue pencils that have this problem, but I was kind of disappointed. So I'm taking off a star for that. The graphite seems to be closer to a HB grade, though.
