Disappointing
It's harder work sharpening a carpenter pencil with this sharpener than using a knife and you get poorer results. It worked better with the General flat sketching pencil attached than with a ForestChoice carpenter pencil, and even then the results weren't nearly as good looking as the picture and I had to flip the pencil around a few times to get the horizontal wood layer off both sides - the upper sharpener is better than the lower one. The General 2B Flat Sketching Pencil attached was disappointing - more of an HB than a 2B, with a visible chunk missing from the graphite core on one side and a rough and uncomfortable feel for it. Definitely a throwaway.
