First, I'd like to welcome new members to the beta launch of our redesigned Pencils.com website.
Now that we have made progress with our redesign project we are working to populate the site with content in our various conent channels through out the site. This post's focus will be on establishing your own artwork image galleries within our Creativity Studio channel.
We very much appreciate your assistance and participation to share your work and start building our artist community here on Pencils.com. Your added feedback on how to improve the features and capabilities of the site are most welcome and greatly appreciated. We have the goal of making this a highly useale and fun site for all those who enjoy creating with and collecting pencils and it is through active participation of new members such as you that we know we can create something special here.
Our Creativity Studio galleries are your place to display pencil related artwork whether done soley with pencils or using pencils of any form as a key component of developing the finished piece. Members can establish any number of personal galleries to address different themes in your work.
Next, I'd like to introduce and provide a very special thanks to our new member Poorsailor for sharing her unique and thought provoking drawings and sketches in two new Galleries that she has titled Sketches and Random thoughts. Her style has a pensive and self-reflective quality that communicate her character in a very creative way. I hope that she inspires you as she does me and think that her galleries and images provide a nice example of the capabilities and direction we want to take our Creativity Studio channel. Please feel free to comment on any of her images that you find particularly interesting, I know she will appreciate your input.
You can gett started now forming one or more new galleries using the New Image Gallery tool and then submit images to your Gallery using the Share Images tool. These tools are among many options for adding content that you see in the right margin User navigation box upon registering and signing into the site.
If you are uploading artwork you should select the Creativity Studio channel when establishing your Gallery. If your work is more journal and creative writing based you may wish to select the Inspired Writing channel as the home for displaying your writen work in your Gallery or posting a Journal Entry, but more on that in a later post about INspired Writing.
Please feel free to explore and experiment with galleries and images and other features of our new website. You may even wish to establish your own group around a particualr theme and invite others to join.
